The National Bowling Association (TNBA) annual Youth Bowling program started on Saturday, August 29, 2015 but it’s NOT too late to sign up.

Arrival time for bowling participants each week is 12:40 p.m. in order to have roll call. Bowling starts promptly at 1:00 p.m. at Landmark on Dries Ln. in Peoria. The season ends January 30, 2016.

Bowler’s ages range from 4 years old to 19. The bowlers will bowl in the following categories: Milk and Cookie (ages 4 to 6) bowl one game; junior bowlers (7 and 8) bowl two games; and junior/senior bowlers (ages 9 to 19) bowl three games.

Bowlers will pay a weekly fee of $3.00 per game (which is due prior to bowling) and bowling shoes are provided free.

This program promotes friendship, sportsmanship, and fellowship among its members and participation has proven to be valuable in that youth bowlers grow to become contributors within their communities.

The league provides and is seeking volunteer coaches to help and assist young bowlers in developing their skills. Some of the volunteer coaches have been past TNBA Jr. bowlers themselves. The youth bowlers will also have an opportunity to bowl their coaches during this season.

League awards are given at the end of the program in January 2016. Participants must bowl 11 weeks to qualify for league awards. Come and join the fun!

The TNBA Youth Program will also be participating in the Central Illinois Black Expo held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Peoria Civic Center and young participants can come and sample their bowling skills and parents can sign their children up for league bowling.
