Soup for the Soul flyerPeoria, IL – The Hope Renewed Youth Conference will be hosting its 6th annual Soup for the Soul Fundraiser.  Area ministers will be cooking up their favorite soups and chili’s. They will be competing with some of the best chefs in the city.  Independent judges will choose the best soup based on four categories; taste, presentation, originality and consistency.  The winner will be crowned “Soup King” of 2016.  Pastor Devereaux Hubbard was crowned Soup King 2015.

This event is fun for all and will take place on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 5:30-8:30 pm at George Washington Carver Center, located at 710 W Third Street. Your favorite Pastor or Chef’s soups can be tried for a donation of $7 for a 12 oz bowl. Beverages and desserts will be available for a donation.

A silent auction will have a number of great items to bid on, i.e. Maui Jim Sunglasses, gift bags, a pair of black diamond stud earrings, a bike, an American Girl Doll, and a wine basket to name a few of the fantastic items.
