Freedom Of Thought By DECB, Sr.

Yea now I am among the ones

My teachers tried to have me read

Those who make words float

So eloquent with ease

While deep inside a place a time

They took – Oh well do hear

Why I take time as they did

To grab the mind and steer

It far from where present is

And out of touch, you may say

We poets are a funny lot

But never fear dismay

So now I take my mind aloft

Dare I come down to you?

So you can scorn my every word

Yea out of touch but true

I am so much of the time

Cause I do need to always be

FREE from where you have jailed

Your mind in agony.
