Dear Margarie, By Margaret Washington

JUST A LITTLE FOOD for THOUGHT

Have you ever been in a conversation with another person and something was said that was very offensive? Well, that can happen. You addressed the problem and the other person involved said they didn’t mean it like you took it to mean. Well, that can happen as well. My point in all of this is: Be careful how you speak to others. Don’t say anything to another person that you would not like to be said to you. Believe me; it will come back to you. As a matter of fact in the scriptures it reads like this: Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived: God is not mocked for whatsover a man soweth that shall he also reap. The bad thing about reaping those kind of things is — it seems as though what we reap comes back in a greater form than what was put out.

It’s kind of like putting a seed in the ground (this is a good reaping) and waiting for it to grow. Well, when it does grow it always comes back in abundance. Do you understand what I’m saying? Give out good things, whether it be words or seeds and it shall be given back to you. Luke 6:38 says, Give and it shall be given unto you good measure pressed down and shaken together; and running over shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye “mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” That’s in everything that we do on this earth. So be aware of what you do and say because you will reap a harvest of that particular thing.

Isn’t it a wonder what we can learn in this life? You see, we have been so used to just being ourselves, doing whatever we want, however we want to do it. Not really thinking that in some areas of our lives there should be changes made. Well, now is a good time for change. I heard someone say that if we continue to do the same things all the time we can only look for the same results. Wow! I’m looking for a change; how about you? Isn’t it wonderful how God watches over us and sees the things we need? And not only that, but He increases our knowledge so we can make those changes. I hope your heart is open to change. We can make a wonderful world for ourselves just by doing and saying the right things at the right time.

Thank you for taking the time to read Dear Margarie.
