Carver Center to Celebrate Arts and Cultures with Year long Series of Events

The George Washington Carver Community Center is kicking off a yearlong series of events that will celebrate the arts and cultures of our community. The first event will be a holiday jazz show at the center on Friday, December 16th featuring renowned jazz artist Gerald Albright and his daughter, Selina Albright.

This event will be a fundraiser for Carver. As many are aware, this historic center is still at work of restoring its most important place in the community for families and children. This holiday show will help Carver continue to serve and be a place for all.

This event will also have occurring with it the opportunity for students who are involved with music to actually meet and interact with the musicians and entertainers. The hope for the center is to make this type of experience a regular and ongoing opportunity for everyone in the community to enjoy jazz, R&B, and the blues.

Please come out and help support Carver in its effort to bring first class entertainment to our community and youth. The site to purchase tickets is at
