AAHFM 33rd Annual Celebration “Empowering Our Future Leaders” A virtual Presentation March 27, 2021

The African American Hall of Fame Museum will celebrate Peoria Public Schools, Quest Academy, and Bloomington/Norma graduating scholars during the Friday, March 27, 2021 virtual presentation produced and broadcast by WTVP PBS. Thirty-three outstanding African American scholars will be awarded scholarships by the African American Hall of Fame. Organizations and individuals who value future leaders and who demonstrate their commitment to support excellence in education provide funding to support this initiative.

Founded in 1987, the American Hall of Fame Museum (AAHFM), is in Proctor Center in Peoria, Illinois. The mission is two fold:

  • to preserve and promote art, history, and artifacts, that highlight African American achievements in our community and beyond.
  • to identify and support graduating African American scholars who excel academically, who have demonstrated leadership skills, who are recommended by several educators or officials, and who submit an essay about the role of history in their lives.

Please plan to tune in and celebrate the accomplishments of scholars from Peoria Public Schools, Quest Academy and Bloomington/Normal schools on Friday, March 27th on WTVP PBS.
