Jacobie Proctor has been named the new Executive Director of the George Washington Carver Community Center. Previously, Proctor was the Chief Operating Officer at the Boys and Girls Club of Peoria.
As the Executive Director, Proctor will provide engaging leadership, serve as a positive role model and motivator for the Carver Center. This includes developing relationships in the community and helping the center grow and expand its capabilities and offerings.
“Jacobie has a wonderful background working the Boys and Girls Club,” said Bashir Ali, President of the Carver Center Board of Directors. “We are very excited to have her come on board and help the Carver Center make a bigger impact within our community.”
A graduate of Hampton University (’07), Proctor received her Masters of Education from Capella University. She is currently completing her Masters of Educational Leadership at Capella, as well. Prior to her work at the Boys and Girls Club, she worked as a Labor Relations Assistant at Caterpillar Inc.
