Calvary has reconditioned life and redefined proper and fitting actions. “Don’t be deceived; God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap.” “Make me an example of you Lord.” I won’t render disrespect to God after apparent blessings! I won’t underestimate the wealth of God’s kindness, forbearance, and long-suffering. God’s kindness is intended to lead us to repentance and good works. His kindness challenges our inner man to accept His will and understand love when men would stray from Him. Render cheer along your way and let the sound of your voice linger pleasantly. It may surprise you that a kind word is sufficient Godly practice.
There are many ways to describe the Lord, and as his Ambassadors, we have many ways to be his examples. He is described as the Light of the world, clothing us with the same, adorning hearts with all that is beautiful, as with a garment. Light reveals purity and beauty, or rebukes snares and dangers that linger in the darkness when turned on. Paul says, “Put on the Lord Jesus, and don’t make provisions for your flesh.”
Jesus said, “Let your light shine before men for the glory of God.” Remember, the Light is within, and only you have the power to let it shine. We have the quickening power to establish all that is wholesome from within, reconcile contradictions, and even harmonize discords when we want to be examples of the Lord. He is described as Truth, an Anchor of hope and stability, a Rock for strength, Refuge for security, a Rose for beauty, the Lamb for tenderness, a Friend for counsel, Heart-fixer, Mind Regulator, Way-maker, and All-in-all. Sure, these are some distinctive examples of the Lord, and “without controversy, his mysteries are great.” We are also referred to in many ways because we are in his image. His attributes within us are necessary for a happy life, so when our way is challenged, we can pray: “Lord, let me see something in your attributes that will see me through again.” Do you find joy in life at each turning of this journey? It takes the strong and wise to see the silver lining behind each dark cloud and remember God’s way. “AS FOR GOD, HIS WAY IS PERFECT. THE WORD OF THE LORD IS TRIED. HE IS A SHIELD AND BUCKLER TO ALL THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM.”
