After the holidays, you review your gifts and discover the sweater your aunt got for you doesn’t fit. Or maybe you changed your mind about the hat you purchased as a gift to yourself. I know many of you dread heading back into the stores to make returns. Here is a list of local stores with pretty awesome return policies even if you don’t have a receipt, you can still expect a refund on the current selling price. Please don’t abuse it!
Bath & Body Works
According to the website, it allows returns for used and unused merchandise but without receipt you will only get the lowest selling price.
CVS
Has no limit on returns but must have original receipt.
JCPenney
Most items with a receipt, can be returned for a full refund or exchange. Returns made with gift receipts will receive a store gift card.
Kohls
Will take back any item even without a receipt, the only exception is electronics.
Electronics has a 30-day policy with receipt.
Macy’s
You have 180 days to make up your mind with an exception for electronics, which is the standard 30 days
Nordstrom
Gets a “Gold” star for their return policy. You can return anything for any reason even without a receipt for store credit for current selling price.
