
The Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter, WPNV 106.3 FM and the Minority Business Development Center will present the 5th Annual Celebrating Achievement Gala which will be held on Saturday, September 28th inside the beautiful Grand Prairie Ball Room at the Holiday Inn & Suites Grande Prairie. The keynote speaker for the evening will be Leslie J. Sawyer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Design International Inc., with entertainment by classically trained violinist; Daniel D. Tickets are $100 for individuals and $1000 for a table of 10. The evening will include empowerment, education, and recognition of achievement. All proceeds will benefit the Minority Business Development Center (MBDC).

The MBDC is working diligently to complete renovations while still providing programming on Financial Literacy, Business Startups and Counseling. The additional space will be used to house classrooms, offices and meeting spaces that will provide training for contractors, entrepreneurs and professionals along with employment preparation. Founded in 2015, the MBDC began nurturing startups and facilitating the growth of expanding companies. In 2016, an office incubator was added which offers professional offices and cubicles at affordable prices for start-up businesses. As a change agent, the MBDC provides economic development, employment training, and contractor back office services, in addition to consulting, mentoring and empowerment to entrepreneurs, businesses and professionals. “We hope to educate to elevate businesses to a higher level,” says Denise Moore, Founder/CEO of the Black Business Alliance Peoria Chapter.
