Sovereign Grace MBC 11th Year Easter Sunday Celebration April 21, 2019

Phillip Jones loves giving the Lord praise through gospel singing. Born in Mississippi, he has worked in the church and promoted gospel groups since the age of 17. He has promoted Gospel Music in Peoria for almost thirty years. On Sunday, April 21, 2019 Bro. Jones will present the 11th Year Easter Sunday Celebration at 4 p.m. at Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church, 1505 W. Martin Street. Special guests are Deacon Raymond Jones, a longtime resident of Peoria and The Prodigal Sons (Gentlemen of Songs) from Columbia, South Carolina. The group has been singing for 24 years. The New Gospel Saints from Chicago will be singing from their recording: “Forever Mine Lord,” “The Crucifixion,” and “A Change Gonna Come,” and more.

Local guests include: The Sensational Traveling Five of Peoria, a recording group singing God praises for over thirty years; Soloist Phil Hopkins from St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church; and Rev. W. C. Hurns from the St. Louis Consolator will be singing “So Much to be Thankful for.”
