Janet’s Just for You raises funds through the Help A Child Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to students already enrolled in college. Janet used her yearly fashion show as a way to support the scholarship fund through donations and proceeds. The fashion show served as a platform to acknowledge the winners. When the shows ended in 2015, the scholarships continued to be awarded through a yearly gala event.
The scholarships are in memory of Ms. Willie Ruth Harps, Mr. Herman Cornish, and Mrs. Kizzie Davis, parents of Janet Cornish Davis and mother of George D Davis. This year’s recipients will be awarded at the gala.
The 2019 event, Vegas in Peoria, will be held Saturday, March 30th at the Contemporary Arts Center, 305 SW Water St., Peoria, IL. The doors will open at 6:30 pm with the event starting at 7:00 pm. Tickets purchased in advance are $25 or at the door for $30. Come out and support the scholarship fund. Don’t miss the exciting and worthy occasion.
