Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Kappa Pi Lambda Chapter held its Black & Gold Founder’s Day Gala

Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Kappa Pi Lambda Chapter held its Black & Gold Founder’s Day Gala on December 1st at the Waterhouse with a sold out crowd. Four scholarships were presented along with the announcement of the newly established Dave Baer Scholarship given by the Golden Torch Foundation in conjunction with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Several honorees were also presented awards: Gary Moore, Community Activist, Dawn Jeffries, Humanitarian Award, and Reginald Birris, Alpha Man of the Year.

Dawn Harris Jeffries received the Community Service Award from The Golden Torch Foundation of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc.’s Kappa Pi Lambda chapter for her work to improve Social Mobility for Underserved Girls in the Peoria Community. She is shown above presenting research and insight.
