Mother and Daughter Princess Tea Party – November 4, 2018

Princess Sherry Gordon-Harris2_v1Sherry Gordon-Harris is the Founder and President of The King’s Daughters World Ministry. This ministry was founded in 2005. Its purpose is to promote Purity, Power and Purpose among girls and young women. It is a faith-based, Bible-based ministry. Its purpose is also to mentor, strengthen, protect and help support the girls and young women as they learn how to be a Princess and prepare for their future. This is done partially through the teaching of Etiquette classes, spiritual lessons, hosting a Princess Pageant, Mother and Daughter Tea Parties and other girly and enriching events.

The vision is to include training of future mentors, encouraging educational development, vocational development and healthy emotional development among the girls and young women.

The King’s Daughters presents a Mother and Daughter Princess Tea Party Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm. Doors open at 2:00pm. The event will take place at the Banquet Hall inside the UAW Local 974 located at 3025 Springfield Road in East Peoria, IL. General admission tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance.

Event features include a Princess Pageant Preview, appetizers and sweet treats, princess games, princess prizes, and an awards ceremony. New this year is a special musical presentation by award nominated Gospel recording artist Juanita R. Williams. She will share from her latest EP release “Expected Glory.” The Mother and Daughter Princess Tea Party is a time to bond, have fun, and make memories to look back on for a lifetime.

Additionally, each ticket purchaser will receive an opportunity to schedule a Mother & Daughter Pamper Me / In HER Beauty Day. This will include a FREE Mary Kay facial, a FREE gift, a gift certificate for a discount on Mary Kay purchases by November 3, 2018, and an entry into a grand prize drawing of Mary Kay products with a qualified purchase.

All ages are welcomed to attend the Mother and Daughter Tea Party. However, those interested in participating in the Princess Pageant Preview must be ages 5 – 16. They also must audition in advance, pay a separate participation fee, and attend rehearsals called Princess Prep School.

Attire for this event is semi-dressy, Princess Costumes, crowns and tiaras. More importantly the attire for all is modest apparel. This is an occasion to wear your pearls, gloves, and fancy accessories.

Vendors for appetizers and sweet treats are local businesses who are members of the Black Business Alliance. Some include Riley’s Cupcakes, Sweet Cakes by Rachel, Popcorn Heaven, Triple Dipple’s Treats and Delicacies, and more. These are all sure to be tasty delights.
