Cheryl Procter-Rogers will be the featured speaker at the Black Business Alliance ‘Celebrating Achievement’ Gala August 4, 2018 at The Warehouse on State.
“We’re excited to have Cheryl as our keynote speaker, as we’ve made some major strides over the past year,” said Denise Moore, who founded the Black Business Alliance (BBA) in Peoria. “We’ve got some dynamic things happening on our radio station (WPNV 106.3 FM) and inside the Minority Business Development Center and will share those updates at the gala!”
The Celebrating Achievement Gala will begin at 6pm at the at The Warehouse on State, 736 SW Washington in Peoria. The event is sponsored by the BBA Peoria Chapter, WPNV 106.3FM and the Minority Business Development Center. “Besides hearing Cheryl’s dynamic message, attendees will be treated to musical entertainment from Christian Rap Artist Josiah Williams,” says Moore. “We’ll also honor those who have made major donations to our campaign to renovate the Minority Business Development Center. When the final phase of the center is completed, it will feature Entrepreneurial training, Contractor Office development, and IT Employment training. And that’s something worth celebrating!”
The MBDC incubator recently opened at 2139 SW Adams and boasts of affordable office space and business resource assistance. “Since we’ve opened, we’ve helped many start-ups and they will be recognized at the Gala.”
Moore says Rogers’ keynote address is a must-see. “Cheryl is a marketing guru, who has a worldwide A-List of clients, contacts, and associates. Our local business leaders deserve the best advice, and that’s what Cheryl brings.” With more than 30 years of experience in the public relations arena, Cheryl Procter-Rogers is currently Senior Consultant, A Step Ahead PR Consulting and Coaching, a national consulting practice where she develops and implements strategies and counsels clients in the areas of crisis communications, strategic planning, business strategy, executive coaching, special events, internal communications and media relations strategy.
A graduate of Bradley University, Cheryl is accredited in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is a certified master coach accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She was recently named President of the Bradley University Black Alumni Association.
