Push in Your Chair By Irene F. Weathersby

Whether you are at home, the office, the classroom or dining out; always push your chair in, after you leave a table or other related area. Why is this etiquette rule important? Pushing your chair in (back under the table) is just a small token of being courteous and thoughtful. This simple gesture makes it easier for people to maneuver around the area and helps prevent unnecessary tripping. More importantly, not doing so can be viewed as being unaware, poor etiquette or laziness.

Socially and gracefully yours,

Irene F. Weathersby
