Get fitted before you get in it! By Michelle Sanders

When it comes to your wedding dress you want it to fit just right Here a few tips that might help you in your search for the right dress so you don’t have an, “Oh, no” on your wedding day. Before you begin sticking pictures of dresses on your vision board, set appointments with three bridal shops. Whatever under garments you plan to wear on your wedding day, bring them with you to your dress appointments.

When shopping for your bridal gown, shop for your body shape and height, and then select your top (3) choices. Have your coordinator and two people you trust to go with you when shopping. You want someone who will give you their honest opinion.

When you have made your selection, walk around in the dress with the shoes you plan to wear. Make sure that your dress is the right length for your heel size. Make sure that your dress fits in your back and tummy area. Another tip – make sure you can zip. Your dress should be selected 6 months prior to your wedding date and alterations completed 4-6 weeks prior to your wedding date. If another fitting will be needed, schedule no later than 2 weeks prior to your wedding date.
