Reis Armstrong Hits the Charts with Catastro-Fiction Literature
Book Signing in Peoria on November 28th
In his first released novel, A Day In August, Reis Armstrong captures the reason why tragedy, catastrophe and separation are essential to a great, fictional love story.
During August of 2005, 17-year-old Louis Devereux is forced to stay behind during Hurricane Katrina, while his girlfriend, Monroe Le Blanc, evacuates with her parents. After losing contact, Louis goes on a mission to find her by any means necessary. Meanwhile, Monroe has accepted the fact that he’s dead. But if Louis has anything to do with it, not a human or hurricane will keep them apart.
Linda Jackson, author of The Gift from the Hand of the Monkey, says, “The author has a unique way of layering imagery and events that can assist a person with a limited imagination. I can almost feel and smell the air of August oppressively engulfed around me.”
At its peak, it has been in the Top 5 of Amazon’s Top 100 Hot Releases. It is currently available on Amazon, in a soft cover for $15.99, or the Kindle version for only $9.99.
The book signing begins at 7:00 p.m. on November 28th at the Chemistry Lounge located at 807 SW Adams St.
