“Review Your Vision” by Katherine Young

Positive Empowerment for People

June has come upon us: it’s time to read, relax, travel, and spend quality time with family and friends. But wait! Have you been spending any time thinking about your vision or goals you created in January? I know how it is: January is seen as the month where you can “begin again” and build your faith back up to help you accomplish your purpose in life. You may have written down your goals and created your vision board (and if not, a workshop is coming up soon with ME, so don’t feel bad), with great intentions to do something BIG this year. You are on your way to the top, and no one is going to get in your way. Or so you thought…

Unfortunately, as human as we are, the goals get left behind like last week’s leftovers; your vision board is laden with dust hidden on a bookshelf; and you have come to the conclusion that if you didn’t accomplish what you set out to do within the first five months of the year, you can forget about moving forward. You have lost all hope and you’re beginning to succumb to the idea that maybe next January, you can do what you have purposed in your heart to do.

But who said you have another year? The bible says that “time waits for no man”; so don’t assume you have so much “extra time” laying around for you to do what you know you need to do. I want to encourage you today to STOP THE STINKIN’ THINKING! Get back on your grind and reevaluate what the Lord has given you in January (or maybe even months or years before), and DO NOT GIVE UP!

If you have to take small steps—DO IT! It is better than standing still. Use what you have to fulfill your purpose. Habakkuk 2:3 says: This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed (NLT).
